Ann Sorrow, 85, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 10, 2026. Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00PM, at Sardis Heard Funeral Home.

Ann was born on May 3, 1941, in Opelika, Alabama, to John Anthony and Willie Mae Fincher Norrell. Ann was one of nine children, and from a young age, she was a nurturer who was kind and compassionate. This followed her all through her life. She was a caregiver for over forty years.

Ann loved spending time with her family. They were her pride and joy. She was a selfless, beautiful soul. Ann had a huge heart and a giving spirit. She would always find ways to do for others. Ann will be missed greatly!

She is survived by her beloved children, Gloria Land (Wayne) of Roberta, Georgia, Tommy Sorrow (Christy) of Lizella, Georgia, and Wesley Sorrow of Roberta, Georgia; her many grandchildren; her multiple great-grandchildren and multiple great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Wayne Norrell (Barbara) of Opelika, Alabama, Oneida Newell of Macon, Faye Childs of Cochran, Georgia, Jake Norrell (Sandra) of Greenville, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews. Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Anna Laura Sorrow; her grandchildren, Maria Sorrow and Russell Hammock; and her siblings, Cecil Norrell, Sam Norrell, Willie James Norrell, and Robert Norrell.

Hart’s Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, has charge of the arrangements.
