Roswell, GA- Ann Lane Moore, 85, formerly of Macon, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Roswell, Georgia. Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with burial in Ramah Cemetery, Wilkinson County. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 12:00PM until 1:00PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to Alzheimer's Association, Central Georgia Chapter, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Moore was born February 2, 1927 to James L. Lane, Jr. and Emmie Thompson Lane of Monticello, Georgia. Mrs. Moore was married to James Edwin Moore for nearly 60 years until his death June 1, 2009. Mrs. Moore raised their two sons and assisted her husband with his television repair business until their sons were in high school, after which she worked as a case worker for the Bibb County Board of Family and Children Services until her retirement. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Lamplighter Sunday School Class at Vineville Baptist Church in Macon. Mrs. Moore is survived by sons James Lane Moore of Marietta, Georgia and Wayne Edwin Moore of Plano, Texas; sisters Marguerite Powell of Birmingham, AL and Jean McLees of Jacksonville, FL ; brother James L. Lane III of Eatonton, Georgia; and three grandchildren Hugh Moore of Atlanta, Georgia, Emmie Moore of Marietta, Georgia, and Andrew Moore of Kapolei, Hawaii. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
