Ann Bethune Holcomb

Ann Bethune Holcomb, 81, of Macon, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola with the Reverend Phil Anderson officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.

Daughter of the late George Royal and Ruth Gaines Bethune, Mrs. Holcomb was the children’s coordinator with Bible Study Fellowship in Macon.  She was a charter member of Vineville North (Northway) and a supporter of Campus Crusade for Christ.  She was also an active supporter of the Lottie Moon Baptist Mission. Mrs. Holcomb was an avid tennis player at John Drew Tennis Center.

Mrs. Holcomb was preceded in death by her husband, H.E. “Gene" Holcomb, and brother, Bill Bethune.

Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her children, Libba Holcomb Griffin (Phil) of Lakeland, Florida, Dr. Bill Holcomb of Macon, and Julie Holcomb Hayley (Ian) of Macon; grandchildren, Dylan Griffin (Brittany), Gaines Griffin Lynott (Matt), and Emma Hayley; great grandchildren, Atticus Griffin, Knox Griffin, and Madeline Griffin.

Hart’s at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
