Anastacia Mangila Nelson

Anastacia Mangila Nelson, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on January 21, 2025. The family will greet friends for a reception from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Hart’s at the Cupola.

Anastacia was born in Cebu, Philippines on March 28, 1946. She moved to the United States in April 1985 and lived in Shreveport, Louisiana before moving to Macon in 2006.  She worked at Barksdale Air Force Base for 21 years and then worked for Holy Angels for 10 years.

Anastacia found joy in cooking and wanted to feed everyone, ensuring no one ever left her home hungry.  She also loved gardening and tending to her plants.  She was avid sports fan and loved watching football and basketball; you could always find her T.V. on ESPN.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Anastacia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Noelle Williams (Tavires) of Macon; former husband, Renie M. Nelson; grandchildren: Taylor Williams, Tristan Williams, Tatum Williams, Antorius Williams, Jartavious Williams, DeKovias Mathis, and Tavires Williams; three great grandchildren; two surviving sisters out of eleven siblings; and family of her son-in-law, Anthony and Bernice Williams, Sabrina Wright, and Rosnice Williams.
