Alyce Juhan Holland Starr

Alyce Juhan Holland Starr, age 95, died January 28, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Starr, was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church which she attended with her husband Francis Starr. Alyce attended Macon Hospital's School of Nursing. She was awarded the Georgia Private Duty Nurse of the Year in 1965. Alyce was preceded in death by her late husband, Jack Holland and her son Russell Holland and her step-son Richard Holland. She was also preceded in death by her very close siblings Donald Juhan, Rhonda Elizabeth Juhan, Sallie Ruth Wells, Francis Golden Juhan, Bernice Lemack Ihley, Maida Postell Joiner, and Oliver Hazzard Perry Juhan, Jr. She is survived by her husband Francis Starr, her daughter-in- laws Gail Holland and Jayne Holland. Mama Alyce will be greatly missed by her three grandson's Randy, Rhett (Sarah) and Ryan, and her two great grandsons, Jack and Tyler. Her step-grandchildren Tammy (Paul) Cannon and their family, and John Holland. Mrs. Starr is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Her life will be held Friday, January 30 at The Grande Ballroom at Carlyle Place from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Register online www.hartsmort.com.
