Alice Tate

Alice Tate, 83, went Home early in the morning December 26, 2016. Her funeral will be held Friday December 30 at 3:00pm at Hart's at the Cupola, with visitation from 2:00-3:00pm. Burial following services will be at Riverside Cemetery. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Jim Price; her husband, Gordon E. Tate; brothers-in-law, Charles Fordham, Simpson Tate, Jr., Granville Tate, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Davis Tate. She is survived by her sister and dearest friend, Jean P. Fordham; brother-in-law, S. Shepherd Tate; daughter, Elizabeth Tate Stansbury; son-in-law, Patrick Stansbury; grandsons, Tate and Grant Stansbury. She was born in Macon, Georgia and lived her whole life there until the last year when she moved to Franklin, Tennessee where her daughter lives. She was an active member of Thomaston Road Church of Christ. She loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. She had a long and full life.
