Alexis Judy Matthews

Alexis Judy Matthews passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 26, 2016. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, with Father William McIntyre, OFM officiating. A subsequent memorial Mass will be held in Somerset, Pennsylvania at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Claver's Funeral Fund at 131 Ward Street, Macon, GA 31204. Alexis was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister until her illness. She was retired from Coliseum Northside Hospital, where she served as Human Resources Manager. Alexis is survived by her husband of forty-one years, John S. Matthews of Macon, GA; daughter, Jennifer Matthews Long (Alexander) of Long Beach, CA; and three grandchildren: Charlotte, Joshua, and Katherine Alexis of Long Beach, CA.
