Adriane Kelly Wood

Adriane Kelly Wood, 74, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in the Chapel of Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola. Visitation will follow the service with a light reception. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Georgia.

Adriane was born on September 25, 1951, in Thomasville, Georgia, to Daniel Lamar Kelly, Sr., and Gwendolyn Park Kelly. She graduated from Thomasville High School in 1969. Adriane was a graduate of Wesleyan College and earned her master’s degree in art history from University of Georgia.

Adriane was fascinated by art history. After graduating college, she began her career at Kelbro Printing Company where she worked as a graphic artist. Adriane composed, designed, did layouts, and paste-ups. She worked at the Macon Heritage Foundation, Anne Tutt Gallery, Middle GA APDC, Minuteman Press, Middle GA Regional Commission, and then the GA Department of Community Affairs, where she retired after twenty years of serving her community.

Adriane is survived by her mother, Gwendolyn Park Kelly of Thomasville, Georgia; her aunts, Janis Kelly and Pat Kelly; her cousins, Kathryn Kelly Upton, John Kelly (Lori), Carole Kelly Newbern, Rob Kelly, Susan Kelly, Kel Kelly, and Lisa Brenner; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father; her husband, John Leland Wood; and her brother Daniel Lamar Kelly, Jr.
