Ada Jane "Teddy" Heard

Ada Jane “Teddy” Heard, 85, of 475 Country Club Drive, Stockbridge, Georgia, died Thursday, March 13, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00PM at Riverside Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Gables on Forsyth Road from 3:00PM until 5:00PM on Saturday immediately following the graveside service. Mrs. Heard, a former resident of the Gables on Forsyth Road, was a 1949 graduate of Wesleyan Conservatory. She taught private piano lessons for 40 years, and was a seamstress and sales person at Allowee’s Women’s Boutique for eighteen years. She was a senior line dance instructor and performer with the Silver Spurs. Mrs. Heard is survived by her son, L. George Heard (Bridget) of Macon; daughter, Janis Ellen Adams (Buddy) of McDonough, Georgia; grandchildren, Loren George Heard, Jr. (Tara) of Apopka, Florida, Mary Amanda Huss of Apopka, Florida, Ryan Thomas Carter (Karen) of Marietta, Georgia and Melissa L. Fonzo (Freddy) of Gainesville, Georgia; five great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Register online at www.hartsmort.com .
