Sadie Schwartz Gerson passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her residence at The Cottages on Wesleyan. Graveside services will be held at Sha'arey Israel Cemetery at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 12th. Sadie was born in Macon on June 15, 1918. She and her beloved husband operated The Uniform and Maternity Shop in downtown Macon for over 30 years. Shortly after Robert passed away in 1992, Sadie became a pink lady at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Her devotion of service has been honored by appropriate recognition. Her greatest award was the blessings of many devoted friends. She was noted for her constant acknowledgement to friends and family for every occasion by sending cards. A dear friend sent her a roll of stamps for her 90th birthday. She was a life member of Hadassah and life long member of Congregation Sha'arey Israel. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert and her parents Esther and L.E. Schwartz, sister Elsie Schwartz Kruger and brother Harry Schwartz. She is survived by daughter, Judy Schreiber (husband Dr. Stephen Schreiber), son Stanley Gerson. Grandchildren, Staci Berch, Edye Mahaffey (Tom), Holli Hirsch (David), Jodi Rosenberg (Michael), Seth Schreiber (Shannon) and Tadd Schreiber (Jenna) along with 12 great- grandchildren: Louis, Brinkley, Harris, Elliot, Maxwell, Jacob, Sophia, Jared, Andrew, Hayden, Rowan and Sadi and many loving nephews and nieces.
