Ruby Vaughn Miles

Macon- Ruby Vaughn Miles, 84, of Macon, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Franklin Etheridge officiating. Burial will be at 4:30PM on Friday at Lake Cemetery, Metter, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Macon Purrs-n-Paws, 326 Harvest Walk, Macon, Georgia 31210 or to All About Animals, P. O. Box 4331, Macon, Georgia 31208. Mrs. Miles, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Joseph Vaughn, was the wife of the late Lehmon Miles. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Miles had worked at Southern Bell, Coursey's Pharmacy, and Gail Ray Sportswear. She was a volunteer with "All About Animals". Mrs. Miles is survived by her daughters, Cathy Miles Mayer (Stephen) of Pensacola, Florida and Connie Miles Jernigan (Al) of Macon; grandchildren, Nicolas Mayer of Auburn, Alabama, Meghan Mayer and Meredith Mayer, both of Pensacola, Florida and Taylor Jernigan of Macon.
