George Ira Johnson

George Ira Johnson, 71, of Macon, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.  There will be a viewing Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s on Cherry Street.

Son of the late James Corbett Johnson, Sr. and Lula Mae Lockwood McDaniel, Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Brown Johnson, stepdaughter, Brandy Harris, and sister, Patricia Hobbs.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Jenkins; grandchildren, Gary Lamar Jenkins and Justin Jenkins; great-grandchild, Gary Lamar Jenkins, Jr.; sisters, Sarah Diane Johnson and Nancy Shelton; stepchildren, Carolyn Swearingen, Lois Barnes, and Kenneth Baldwin, Jr.; and brothers, Benny Ray Johnson, Freddy Lamar Johnson, and Corbet James Johnson, Jr.
