Eva Lee Ward

Eva Lee Ward, 95, of Dublin, Georgia, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023. A graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Joel Dent and the Reverend Kim Dixon officiating.  The family will greet friends Monday, December 11, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street Chapel.

Daughter of the late Eugene Clifton Maddox and Annie Lee Adkins Maddox, Eva was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on January 20, 1928. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base.

Eva's commitment to her faith and community was evident through her longstanding service as a volunteer with the Methodist Church Children's Home. Her dedication to the church extended to her membership at Centenary United Methodist Church in Macon. After relocating to Dublin, Eva continued her spiritual journey and fellowship at Pine Forest Methodist Church.

Her generous spirit, deep faith, and the love she shared will be profoundly missed by her friends, former colleagues, and fellow congregation members. Eva's life was marked by unwavering service, devotion to her community, and an ever-present kindness that touched the lives of many.

Eva will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Vicki Lee Clark (Wayne) of Dublin, Georgia; grandchildren, Meagan Lee Clark (Raul) and Elizabeth Grace Williamson (Blake), both of Dublin, Georgia; great grandson, Gamble Williamson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Ward, Jr.; and siblings, Clifton Eugene Maddox and Annie Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.
