Bobby Eugene Oliver

Bobby Eugene Oliver, 83, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. Graveside service will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. Visitation will be 5:30PM to 7:00PM on Monday at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, or Gideons International, Macon East Camp, PO Box 5718, Macon, Georgia 31208, or donor's favorite charity. Bobby was the son of Ernest Clifford Oliver and Eva Schrimpshire Oliver, born in Reynolds, Georgia. He served our county in the United States Air Force and the United States Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He retired from the United States Postal Service. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman. He loved skydiving, motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing and boating. He was of the Baptist faith, kind-hearted, sympathetic, affectionate, strong, dependable and a generous man. Bobby was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and five sisters. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wynell Oliver of Macon; three sons and their wives, David and Lois Oliver of Jones County, Danny and Kelly Oliver of Macon, and Kenneth Oliver of Macon; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, O.J. Oliver (Valeria) of Bonifay, Florida; also many nieces and nephews.
