Ben R. Harrison passed away on June 24, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 2:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA with the Reverend Joe Ferguson officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 3:00PM-5:00PM at Hart's Jones County Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jones County High School baseball and softball programs, 339 Railroad Street, Gray, GA 31032. Please wear casual bulldog colors and no ties to the service. Ben was predeceased by his parents James and Winnie Harrison; and grandson, Harrison Jackson. He was a longtime salesman for Macon Commercial Tire and his greatest joy was his family and sports. Ben is survived by his wife of forty-seven years Sandy Harrison of Jones County; son, Doug Harrison of Jones County; daughter, Beth Hamner (Lee) of Eatonton, GA; son, Wes Harrison (Hope) of Gray, GA; five grandchildren, D.J. Harrison, Mallory Harrison, Morgan Jackson, Jordan Harrison and Kayley Harrison; brother, James Harrison(Debra)of Gray, GA,; sister, Debra Brantley of Gray, GA; brothers, Fred Harrison (Nelva) of Gray, GA and Stanley Harrison of Macon, GA.
