Phil Cork, a native of Macon, spent most of his life in his hometown, steeped in the history of Southern Rock and an avid follower of Atlanta Falcons football which he fiercely supported through their wins and, even more so through their losses. He never missed watching the Atlanta Braves and, closer to home, the Macon Braves. As the middle son of Martha Toole Cork and Charles Madden Cork, Jr., Phil pursued an interest in woodworking and carpentry, after attending Northeast High School in Macon, and was known as a master at his craft.
Phil is survived by his wife, Donna Adair Cork, and by their only child, Richard Charles Cork. He was predeceased by his mother, Martha Louise Toole (Cork) Leslie. He is survived by his parents, Charlie and Betty Cork, brother Charles M. (Vickie) Cork, III, sister, Caroline Cork (Trey) Bouchillon, younger brother Bradford H. (Valerie) Cork and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
