Macon, Ga - A Celebration  of Life will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola, Macon.

There are not really words to describe the enigma that was Joan Leslie Bruner. She was a force to be reckoned with. She loved fiercely, worked hard, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who raised her girls to be independent and to know that there was a world out there outside of Macon, Georgia. In her more than 40 years of dog grooming, she found her real inspiration from the animals and customers that she worked with. She brought joy and laughter to anyone she met. Those who were able to have her in their life were truly blessed.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Paul and daughter, Leslie. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Brookins; granddaughter, Natalie Brookins; sister, Judy(Greg) Sarber; brother, John Brindle; sisters-in-law, Shirley Habekost and Darlene Stodtko; brothers-in-laws, Tom Michaels, Bill(Laura) Humphreys, Mark(Tammy) Bruner, Milton(Rene) Humphreys, Paul Humphreys, and Carl Bruner; very super duper sister-in-law, Darlene Stodtko and a plethora of very special nieces and nephews.
