Heather Dodge Parsons, 38, of Gray, Georgia peacefully passed away at home on March 11, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 16, 1980, the daughter of the Late Paul Martin Dodge and Martha Lucille Dodge (nee Lathrop). Heather is survived by her husband, Bob Parsons; children, Nikkolas Dodge and Sam Soles. She had several loving siblings including: Kathy Loyd of Browntown, South Carolina, Linda (Richard) Randolph of Inman, South Carolina, Marty (Donna) Dodge of North Augusta, South Carolina, Sandra Blanco of Chicago, Illinois, Brian (Elaine) Dodge of Johnsonville, South Carolina, Jeffery (Crystal) Loyd of Midland, Texas, Jennifer (Cameron) Corniuk of Painesville, Ohio, Michael (Paige) Loyd of Turbeville, South Carolina and Samantha (Travis) Porchea of Kingstree, South Carolina. Heather has many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by nephews, Si and Baby Alex.
Heather was loved by other family members including mother-in-law, Denise Parsons, sister-in-law, The Jenkins (Joey, Angela, Mayson, Wyatt, Lucas). She enjoyed the company of many friends from Kingstree, Lake City, Florence, Chicagoland, Macon, Gray and the Twin Lakes Subdivision.
Heather raised in Kingstree was a 1998 graduate of Williamsburg Academy. She also lived in Florence, South Carolina and worked as an administrative assistant at Nan Ya Plastics in Lake City. Heather spent the last 7 years living in Gray with her family where she was an administrative assistant at Ethica Health in Gray. She loved her family, friends, pets (Chewy, Louie, Patti and the late Oscar), Halloween, cooking, entertaining, decorating and traveling. Heather was also a member of the Jones County Pilot Club as well.
Heather’s memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15 at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel from 2:00-3:00 PM. The family will be gathering to meet friends beforehand from 12:00 PM until 2:00PM.
