Frank DiPonzio Obituary

Frank A. DiPonzio passed away peacefully Friday, February 1, 2019 at Pine Pointe Hospice. He was 90 years old.

Mr. DiPonzio served in the U.S. Navy. He treasured his family and friends dearly and was known to most as “Papa”. He had the qualities of a typical Italian father, strong and expressive and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He will be forever loved, remembered and missed by his children, Debbie Ruskin (Mike) of Atlanta, Dave DiPonzio (Kimberly) of Macon and Danny DiPonzio of Oakwood; grandchildren, Fran Sponsler (Mark), Amy Rahman (Nick), Rachael Robideaux (Dylan), Nicholas DiPonzio, Jessica DiPonzio, and Lora Kate DiPonzio; and great-grandchildren, Abigail Sponsler and Andrew Sponsler.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Rochester, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
