Eloise Hadaway, 97, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 7:30 PM, at Hart’s on Cherry Street. The family will greet friends one and a half hours prior to the service. If anyone has any favorite memories of Eloise, you are asked to share those at this time.
Ms. Hadaway was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Hadaway and son, Don Hadaway. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Bridger of Jacksonville, FL; and sons, Chip Hadaway (Cindy) of Cumming, GA and Hank Hadaway of Milledgeville; her grandchildren, Rusty Humphrey, Deonne Jones, Justin Hadaway, Cricket Saa, Brad Marshall and Jeff Marshall; ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Her entire life was devoted to her Lord, her family, and her community service. Over the years, she received numerous accolades and awards for her service, including being named Cherry Blossom Senior Queen in 1997, Olympic Torch carrier for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics, named Georgia State volunteer for 2006, and also in 2006, was named National Volunteer, with award presented to her by President George W. Bush. Ms. Hadaway also served for many years as a volunteer for the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
