Violet Carden

Violet Carden, 96, of Macon, Georgia, went to meet her precious Savior on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Funeral services will be private, with Pastor Bob Hunnicutt officiating.  

Violet was the daughter of the late Lake and Ruth Rogers Glover. She was beloved by all who knew her. She was a woman of great purity of heart, character, and great love, always seeing good in everyone. She prayed for all her family and friends daily. She loved Jesus, her Lord, with all her heart. She loved her family, her friends, being outdoors, walking trails in North Georgia, and going to the beach, especially Hilton Head.  She loved road races and had over 200 trophies and awards. She loved children and nothing made her more visibly happy that spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was a charter member of Covenant Life Cathedral and she also attended Real Life Church. Her greatest desire in life was that all her family, friends, and everyone she met to know Jesus and meet her in Heaven.  

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Carden; son, David Carden (Cherry); grandson, Chad Carden (Christy); granddaughter, Jessi Carden Betzel (Rob); and great-granddaughters, Cheyenne Carden Bresse (Ryan), Sierra Carden, Kira Betzel and Ashlan Betzel.  

She was predeceased by her dear husband who she met while he was in the CCC in Macon, and who she called “the love of my life,” Harvard Carden; parents, stepfather, Cody Dixon; brother, William Glover; and sisters Garnita Wood and Lois Baker.  

The family would like to thank everyone at Angels Divine Personal Care Home, where she lived the last three years.  She loved her room and everyone there. They were so nice to her and took her excellent care of her.  It meant so much to her family, especially during the pandemic. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Violet's honor to Angels Divine Personal Care Home at 3065 Jeffersonville Road, Macon, Georgia, 31217.
