Opened in 1931, our location on Cherry Street is among the oldest funeral homes in Macon, GA. Founded by the Hart brothers in 1899, our funeral home’s history began two blocks away on Mulberry Street; however, even with an expansion in 1904, the business outgrew the building and needed more room to serve families. The brand-new Cherry Street building was designed and brought to life by local Macon contractor R.H. Smalling & Sons Construction Co. The stately, two-story structure continues to serve as a distinguished setting for services and features classic colonial architecture.
