Mary Helen Rawlings Price

Mrs. Mary Helen Rawlings Price, of Macon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 22, 2013, at the age of 95. Services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:00AM at Northridge Baptist Church. Burial will be at 3:00PM at Westview Cemetery, Wrightsville, Georgia. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Magnolia Manor, 194 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Mrs. Price was born on June 14, 1917 in Johnson County, Georgia, the oldest of seven children born to the late Charlie G. Rawlings and Pauline Perry Rawlings Morris, both of Wrightsville. She was married to the late Wyley A. Price in 1933 and they were united in love for sixty years.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Charles Price; an infant brother; sisters, Inez Fitch, Mildred Bezek and Charlene Jennings; grandchildren, Alan Price and Ethan and Rebecca Price; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Price.

Mrs. Price is survived by her children, James Price (Katheryn) of Macon, Wylene Keys (Cres) of Blue Ridge and Terry Price of Forsyth; sisters, Myrtle Donaldson of Detroit and Nina Reeves of Eatonton; daughter-in-law, Barbara Price of Macon; grandchildren, Leah Atkinson (Steve), Lyn Wilfong (Lloyd), Leslie Arnold (Jerry) and Jordan Price; granddaughter-in-law, Pam Price; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Price lived in Macon for the past sixty years. She was a Christian from a young age and the oldest member of Northridge Baptist Church in Macon.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Oaks at Peake Nursing Home and the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.
