Edith Buchholz, 78, of Centerville, Georgia, formerly of Pittsfield, Illinois died Monday, February 11, 2013 at Elberta Health Care Center.

Born January 1, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl Rabe and Mary Johnson Rabe Colley, she married Francis Eugene Buchholz, Sr. in 1952. She is survived by brother, Karl Rabe of Fort Madison, IA; children, Francis E. (Carolyn Werheim) Buchholz, Jr. of Hanibal, MO, Kandy (Stephan Bundy) Huffer of Warner Robins, GA, Akelajo (Donn) Connell of Centerville, GA; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Troy Colley, husband, and sister, Maudie Rabe Mallicoat.

She was a member of the Berean Assembly of God Church in Centerville.

Her body has been donated to the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 2:00PM at the Berean Assembly of God Church, Centerville, GA. The family requests that donations be made in her name to the Berean Assembly of God Church.
