Gerald Jackson, born September 18, 1931, died August 19, 2012. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 4:00 until 5:30 PM at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with a memorial service immediately following at 5:30 in the Cupola chapel. The Reverend John Sikes Gibbs, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Peggy Beacham Jackson; daughter, Jill (Mark) Burgess; grandson, William Jackson Burgess; sister, Frances Rowe, brother, O. R. Jackson, Jr. (Joanne); and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marian Mertz.
