Joan Greene Tidwell died Friday, July 27, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Dr. David hunter officiating. Mrs. Tidwell was the daughter of Fred Joel Greene, Sr. and Josie Lee Daniel Greene. An avid reader and cook, she was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 38 years. She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred J. Greene, Jr. and Alva Greene.

Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her sons, Scott M. Tidwell, Sr. (Lois) of Milledgeville and Barry Tidwell (Cindy) of Macon; nine grandchildren; fifteen great- grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte Greene Ryan (Gene) of Morriston, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
