Macon- Ann Millican Helms, 91, of 1633 Wesleyan Drive, died Sunday, June 24, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 1:00PM in the Millican family plot at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Born in 1920, Mrs. Helms was the daughter of the late William T. Millican, Sr. and Louise Tinsley Millican. She was educated in Macon schools, attended Agnes Scott and graduated from Mercer University in 1941. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

Mrs. Helms was predeceased by her husband of forty-two years, William F. Helms, Sr. She resided in Lee County, Georgia until 1987. Mrs. Helms returned to Macon and spent her remaining years in Macon and St. Simons Island.

Mrs. Helms is survived by her son, William F. Helms, Jr. of Gainesville, Georgia; daughter, Starr Helms Rosdentscher (Larry G.) of Suches, Georgia; grandson, Bryan Richardson of Locust Grove, Georgia; great-grandson, Blaine Richardson of Locust Grove, Georgia.
