Macon, GA- Thomas Lee Wood, Jr., 53, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 1:00PM at Georgia Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Macon Rescue Mission, 774 Hazel Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Mr. Wood was a kind and caring man with a great sense of humor. He was a dedicated husband, father and brother. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served in Mali as an Embassy guard and also served in Beirut.

Mr. Wood is survived by his son, Isaiah Wood and daughter, Kelsey Wood, both of Macon, and his brother, Edward “Eddie” Wood of Roberta.
