Macon- Charles Edward Norris, Sr., 73, of 6129 Marion Road, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Norris, a veteran of the United States Army, was retired from General Tire Rubber Company. He loved camping, fishing, traveling and the outdoors. Mr. Norris was predeceased by his wife, Mavis Watkins Norris; his grandson, Kyle Lawrence Norris, and his parents, Henry Vance Norris and Rittie Jane Jackson Norris.

Mr. Norris is survived by his son, Charles E. Norris, Jr. of Macon; daughters, Sheila Kay Norris Davidson (Randy) of Eatonton, Georgia and Kathy Norris Smith (Wayne) of Macon; two granddaughters, April Davidson and Sierra Davidson and one grandson, Wesley Smith; one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson; his brother, Eugene Raynor of Kathleen, Georgia; his companion, Aderine Jowers, and his step-daughter, Vicky Parsons.
