Jones County- Ina Mae Warthen Coley, 79 years old, of Jones County died June 11, 2012. She was born February 16, 1933 in Wheaten, Kansas, the daughter of Leroy and Elsie Toothaker Warthen. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1951 and worked for five years at the former Alliance Cooperative Insurance Company in Topeka, Kansas. She met and married James Coley of Thomaston, Georgia on March 22, 1957. They then moved to Georgia. In 1991 she retired from Kmart after fifteen years of service. Mrs. Coley was a member of Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church in Jones County.

Mrs. Coley was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Elsie Warthen of Topeka, Kansas, her husband, James Coley of Jones County on January 13, 1993, and five sisters, Twila Segelquist of Scranton, Kansas, Marjorie Shenk of Silver Lake, Kansas, Mary Ellen Trimble of Topeka, Kansas, Alice Truesdell of Bossier City, Kansas and Evelyn McPhail of Scranton, Kansas.

Mrs. Coley is survived by her only son, James Leslie Coley (Maria Gutierrez) of Jones County; one sister, Lolita Laubach of Scranton, Kansas; her grandson, James Eric Walker of Prattsville, Alabama; her granddaughter, Melissa Lynn Walker Ewell of South West Palm Beach, Florida, and two great-grandchildren, Kami Amos and Brandon Ewell, both of South West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Coley loved her pet cats, bird watching, working with jigsaw puzzles and her daily walks.

The family may be contacted at the residence, 317 East Virginia Lane, Macon, Georgia 31217, in Jones County.

A memorial service will be held at Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church, 132 Pitts Chapel Road, Macon, Georgia in Jones County at 2:00PM on Friday, June 15, 2012. The Reverends Wayne MacDonald and John Irwin will officiate. There will be no graveside service.
